The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...
The System and Arch are optional added filters, for example System could be "redhat", "redhat-7.2", "mandrake" or "gnome", Arch could be "i386" or "src", etc. depending on your system.
This is yet another file/directory handler that does a bit more than the Path::Class manpage for some parts, and a bit less for other parts. One of the main difference is the Path::Extended manpage always tries to use forward slashes when possible, ie. even when you're on the MS Windows, so that you don't need to care about escaping paths that annoys you from time to time when you want to apply regexen to a path, especially in file tests that use 'like' or 'compare'. Also, the Path::Extended manpage can do some basic file/directory operations such as copy, move, and rename as well as file I/O stuff like open, close, and slurp (and some of these may behave differently from the equivalents of the Path::Class manpage). On the other hand, the Path::Extended manpage doesn't care (or care little) about converting foreign path names or ascending/descending path tree.
