The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...

It overloads operators, so you can use standard math expressions to work with graphical objects. There probably isn't anything that couldn't been done just as well with pgfmath and TikZ directly. However, if a graphic gets more complicated, Lua may just be easier to work with as base.
